A native of Ohio, Tom received his Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo College of Law in 1993. Defying conventional wisdom and throwing caution to the wind he and his family ventured north to Alaska where he practiced law for fourteen years and developed his expertise in the following areas of practice: insurance defense and coverage issues; personal injury; products liability; insurance bad faith; commercial law and litigation; construction law; admiralty and maritime law; professional liability and environmental law.
At the Gourley Law Group, Tom’s practice is focused on litigation, including personal injury, insurance matters, commercial matters, and real estate. Tom is licensed to practice law before The Supreme Court of the United States of America, The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, The U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska, The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and all courts in the Great States of Washington and Alaska.
When he is not working, you can usually find him with his family enjoying a round of golf, hunting, fishing or just enjoying a relaxing day shooting trap or skeet. On the other hand, he is a licensed pilot so you may have to search the skies.
